This is the companion website for the paper Tell don't just show: Explanatory narrative may improve recall more than exploratory interactivity in communicative visualization, submitted to IEEE VIS 2019.

If you are running this locally, please setup a local server in your computer.

In this website, we provide links to the visualizations that were shown to the participants to evaluate the effects of narrative and interactivity on insight. Since the visualizations were created in D3, they require a local server to be set up. Hence, for convenience, we have provided a website: visinsights.github.io with links to each of the visualizations that we redesigned and used in the study. In addition, we also provide links to the questionnaires, and the files used for our data analyses.
